New York, NY, May 17 2010– For the first time in the seven-year history of the “VH1 Hip Hop Honors,” a particular region of the country will be celebrated for its music, influence and artists--and super-producer Timbaland will be center stage. Timbaland will be honored for his groundbreaking contributions to hip-hop on the “2010 VH1 Hip Hop Honors: The Dirty South,” airing on VH1 on Monday, June 7 at 9 PM ET/PT.
Noting that the South has helped propel hip-hop into the worldwide cultural phenomenon that it has become today, the“2010 VH1 Hip Hop Honors: The Dirty South,” hosted by actor/comedian Craig Robinson (“The Office”), will shine the spotlight on Timbaland, who has stamped his indelible imprint on the music scene since the mid-1990s.
